White sandy beaches, cool azure waters… this is paradise…
Samana is the real Caribbean, the Caribbean of 40 years ago, the Caribbean that awakens memories of a bygone era when each tropical shore, each bend in an old dirt road brought new adventure and a wondrous sense of anticipation exploring a developing region that had seemingly shielded itself from the stress and pressures of modern day life. Located on the northeastern coast of the Samana Peninsula, Las Terrenas offers miles of protected inshore waters and beautiful, undeveloped white-sand-beaches, lined with tall palm trees and pastel-colored fishing boats.
A coconut tree, another coconut tree….A wave, another wave. One step, another. White sand under your feet, the bright turquoise sea. You’re in heaven. Nothing more is needed.
Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo is one of the most beautiful places to feel like in paradise….This big hotel comes with a sandy beach, one nice pool and a mini waterpark for kids.
From the drive from airport to the resort itself, the surroundings are gorgeous !
We have arrived to Puerto Plata, and I am really happy I did not realised it was 3 hours to get to the hotel as it was absolutely worthy…
The beach is great for long walks, swimming & snorkeling. The sand is not pure white but it is very fine and soft.
The worker’s, often remove the algae/weeds that wash up from the ocean.
The quality and variety of food is absolutely fantastic.
Everything is so close and placed just by the beach…. so many nice places to have a drink or just relax. Little details, white soft pillows and lots of different places you can seat and enjoy with lovely scenery made me feel like in paradise.
Breakfast served at the beach restaurant or at the main buffet. And just after I enjoyed my expresso.
Seat just by the palms and next to the sea…..
I would like to highlight specially new gazebo….on the beach…. I absolutely adored it, morning… midday or just evenings.
Main pool is next to the beach…
There is a kid’s water park – absolutely gorgeous….and again new!!!
Lots of noticeable new investments.
Jacuzzi – bubbles and relaxation….is also great part of the holidays. Although my kids are too young so I went there only twice.
I did not visit many À la carte restaurants but Brazilian cuisine in the Las Olas – Rodizio restaurant is really worth to mention as you can enjoy delicious grilled meat served on long skewers accompanied with side dishes, the Brazilian way…..absolutely amazing…..
I don’t need to say anything else…..Feeling still in a mood I would like to be there with all my heart.
wow piękne miejsce, jak w raju 🙂 zdecydowanie warto odwiedzić 🙂
